Aircraft lubricants that meet the MIL-PRF-23699 standard?

2024-12-27 16:28:18

There are products in domestic lubricants related to the US military standard MIL-PRF-23699. Their performance matching is mainly achieved through technical benchmarking or equivalent standards, but there are relatively few products directly claiming to meet this standard. The following is a detailed analysis: 1. Technical origin of domestic lubricants and MIL-PRF-23699    - RIPP 4050 aviation lubricant: This is China's first aviation lubricant meeting the national military standard GJB1263-1991. The oil product refers to the technical route of the American Esso 2380 lubricant (meeting the early version of MIL-PRF-23699). It uses a synthetic ester formula, has a wide temperature range of -40 to 200 °C for use, and has similar performance to imported products (such as BP 2380 and Pegasus 2) under the MIL-PRF-23699 standard in terms of high-temperature stability and oxidation resistance.    - Relationship between GJB1263 and MIL-PRF-23699: GJB1263 is a national military standard formulated by China to benchmark MIL-PRF-23699. Although there are differences in specific indicators (such as acid value control and low-temperature performance requirements) between the two, the core performances (such as high-temperature stability and anti-coking properties) are basically the same. Domestic lubricants such as 4050 and 4106 indirectly achieve equivalence with MIL-PRF-23699 by meeting GJB1263. 2. Practical application and substitutability of domestic lubricants    - The RIPP 4050 aviation lubricant has been widely used in the Chinese Air Force and military industrial units, receiving favorable feedback. Its technical route is highly similar to that of synthetic ester oils under the MIL-PRF-23699 standard. Therefore, it can be used as a substitute in case of emergencies.    - Other domestic models such as the 4106 aviation lubricant also meet GJB1263 and are considered to have performance close to that of imported products under the MIL-PRF-23699 standard, but they have not been clearly certified to meet the US military standard. 3. Technical limitations and future directions of domestic lubricants    - Certification differences: Domestic lubricants mainly follow the national military standard GJB1263. The latest versions (such as version G) of MIL-PRF-23699 have put forward stricter requirements for seal compatibility and acid value control. Domestic oil products may have gaps in these details.    - Technical upgrading: With the increasing demand for high-performance lubricants in China's aviation industry, domestic lubricants are being improved in the directions of high thermal stability (HTS) and enhanced esters (EE) to further benchmark the sub-standards of MIL-PRF-23699. 4. Import substitution and the process of autonomy    - Although domestic lubricants are gradually approaching MIL-PRF-23699 in terms of technology, high-end HTS products (such as BP 2197) and enhanced ester products still rely on imports.    - Some Chinese enterprises are gradually promoting the high-end development of domestic lubricants through technology introduction or cooperative production, but completely autonomous products still need time for verification. Conclusion Domestic lubricant models such as 4050 and 4106 achieve performance benchmarking with MIL-PRF-23699 by meeting the GJB1263 standard and can be regarded as equivalent products. However, there are relatively few domestic lubricants directly claiming to meet the MIL-PRF-23699 certification, and some high-end demands still rely on imported or technology cooperation products. In the future, with domestic technical upgrades, domestic lubricants are expected to achieve full benchmarking in more sub-fields.
