Use: Widely used for high-temperature components in aircraft (e.g., bolts, threaded joints) to prevent seizing and wear, even at 400°C
The RIPP 7454 High-Temperature Graphite Grease, with its unique organic bentonite thickener system, ultra-fine graphite additives, and broad temperature adaptability, is an ideal choice for lubricating high-temperature friction components in aviation, heavy industry, and extreme environments
1. Composition and Formulation
Base Oil and Thickener: The product uses synthetic lubricating oil as the base oil and organic bentonite as the thickener. This formulation differs from traditional graphite greases (which often use inorganic thickeners like esters) and enhances high-temperature stability and mechanical integrity.
Additives: Contains ultra-fine graphite powder, antioxidants, and anti-corrosion agents. The lamellar structure of graphite (with a friction coefficient as low as 0.1) forms a solid lubricating layer under high temperatures, effectively reducing friction and wear. Its oxidation resistance ensures stability in high-temperature environments.
Temperature Range: Operates effectively from -20°C to 400°C, with intermittent tolerance up to 500°C. At temperatures above 200°C, the base oil gradually evaporates, leaving tightly adhered graphite particles to maintain continuous lubrication.
Load and Wear Resistance: Exhibits extreme pressure and anti-wear characteristics, with low friction coefficients and high load-bearing capacity, suitable for heavy-duty or shock-load conditions.
Environmental Adaptability: Excellent water resistance and tolerance to weak acids/alkalis, making it ideal for humid, contaminated, or chemically corrosive environments.
Aviation Industry: Widely used for high-temperature components in aircraft (e.g., bolts, threaded joints) to prevent seizing and wear, even at 400°C.
Industrial Machinery: Suitable for high-temperature bearings, gears, chains, and heavy-duty equipment in metallurgical, power generation, and other industries.
Complies with the Q/3B4415-2005 enterprise standard, produced by Sinopec Research Institute, ensuring consistent quality.
Packaged in 500g/can for easy distribution and use in industrial settings.
vs. Molybdenum Disulfide Grease: Graphite grease outperforms in high-temperature resistance (500°C), while molybdenum disulfide excels in extreme-pressure anti-wear performance.
vs. Conventional Calcium-Based Grease: 7454 offers superior water resistance and thermal stability, suitable for harsher operating conditions.
Limitations: While heat-resistant, it may oxidize and combust in oxygen-rich flame environments; avoid open flames.
Maintenance: Relies on graphite’s solid lubrication at high temperatures. Regularly inspect lubricant layer integrity, especially after prolonged high-temperature operation.
The RIPP 7454 High-Temperature Graphite Grease, with its unique organic bentonite thickener system, ultra-fine graphite additives, and broad temperature adaptability, is an ideal choice for lubricating high-temperature friction components in aviation, heavy industry, and extreme environments. It meets stringent enterprise standards and excels in corrosion resistance, water tolerance, and long-term durability under demanding conditions.
