Teli 928 Aviation Lubricating Oil is a premium synthetic oil designed for military turbine engines, excelling in extreme temperatures, oxidation resistance, and wear protection. As a critical lubricant for Russian-made fighters, its reliability and technical maturity are widely acknowledged in military applications.
1. Basic Information
Production & Standards
Manufactured by Shenyang Teli Petrochemical Co., Ltd., compliant with Chinese Military Standard GJB5097-2004.
Earlier enterprise standard was YQB/KJ44-2002, but GJB5097-2004 has become the primary standard.
Can replace Russian ИПМ-10 lubricating oil and domestically developed alternatives like Jingtian 927.
Applications
Primarily used for Russian-made fighter jets (e.g., Su-27, Su-30, J-10, J-11 series) in turbofan engines, gas turbines, and auxiliary power units.
Extended to helicopter main gearboxes and turboshaft engines.
Not recommended for civilian equipment due to high costs and performance optimized for military high-temperature environments.
Temperature Adaptability
Operating range: -40°C to 200°C, with short-term tolerance up to 220°C under extreme conditions.
Some data indicates low-temperature tolerance down to -50°C (varies by batch or testing methods; verify technical documentation).
Key Specifications
Viscosity: 3.0 mm²/s at 100°C; 2980 mm²/s at -40°C.
Flash Point: ≥206°C (open cup), though some sources cite 190°C (testing conditions may vary).
Pour Point: ≤-59°C or -62°C; some data shows -50°C (refer to latest standards).
Oxidation Resistance: Reduces high-temperature carbon deposits, extending engine lifespan.
Additives & Degradation
Contains anti-wear agents, antioxidants, etc., but additives may deplete over time.
Degradation factors: Base oil oxidation, acidic contamination, improper storage (e.g., exposure to moisture, sunlight).
Relation to Great Wall Lubricants
Teli 928 and Great Wall lubricants (produced by Chongqing Yiping Plant) have comparable performance, both replacing Russian oils.
Teli offers flexible packaging (e.g., 3.5kg, 4L, 16kg) and customizable production.
Differences from Other Models
Compared to 4050 aviation lubricant, Teli 928 emphasizes balanced performance, while 4050 prioritizes high-temperature stability.
Unlike mineral-based No. 20 aviation oil (for piston engines), Teli 928 is synthetic hydrocarbon-based, tailored for turbine engines.
Storage Requirements
Store in clean, cool, and dry conditions; avoid contamination by water, dust, or corrosive substances.
Thoroughly clean oil tanks and pipelines during initial oil replacement.
Usage Precautions
Darkening under prolonged high temperatures or UV exposure is normal and does not affect performance.
Do not mix with other oils to prevent performance degradation.
Shenyang Teli is a military-certified enterprise with ISO 9001 and civil-military integration capabilities.
Products are military-validated and deployed in trainer and combat aircraft.
Annual production capacity: 300,000 tons; automated production lines equipped with UK/Singapore-sourced machinery.
Strict adherence to storage and maintenance protocols is essential to maximize performance. While unsuitable for civilian use, its role in military aviation remains irreplaceable.
